Job summary

UVA Health’s University Medical Center is expanding Perioperative Services by employing Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to support extended-hour OR coverage, Saturday electives, and continued growth across surgical sites in Charlottesville.

CRNAs operate with a high-autonomy practice model within a collaborative Anesthesia Care Team, delivering anesthesia care at top of their license in a nationally recognized academic center with a Level I trauma designation.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program or eligible to practice as a CRNA in Virginia.
• Experience: No experience required.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Virginia.
• Licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Virginia.
• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in Virginia.
• AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care across high-acuity cases including OR and off-site locations.
• Support extended-hour operating room coverage and weekend elective programs.
• Work within a collaborative Anesthesia Care Team with autonomy to practice at top of license.
• Engage in safety screenings and patient assessment as part of perioperative care.
