Job summary

Polymath Robotics seeks an experienced robotics software engineer to drive end-to-end vehicle bringup across simulation, bench, and on-vehicle testing. You will build automated test suites, extend ROS2 architecture, and work directly with clients to align requirements and translate intent into engineering criteria.

You’ll collaborate across perception, controls, navigation, and system-design domains, improving automation and scalability across diverse vehicle types and environments.

Qualifications

• Strong in one or more of: C++, Python, ROS/ROS2, systems architecture, or test automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with robots or autonomous systems—not simulation-only.
• Evidence you’ve automated or systematized a manual process on any team.
• Strong remote debugging skills using logs, ROS bags, and remote sessions.
• Excellent written communication for test coverage, handoffs, and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Own vehicle bringup end-to-end across simulation, bench, and on-vehicle phases.
• Build and extend automated test suites that auto-generate issues on failure.
• Identify reusable patterns from one-off client requests and generalize them.
• Support integrators and customers on-site and remotely during bench and vehicle testing.
• Communicate with clients to align requirements and translate intents into engineering criteria.
• Contribute to ROS2 architecture where gaps exist.
• Travel for sales and on-site technical support as needed.
