Job summary

Haast Autonomous is seeking Fall/Winter Engineering Co-ops to join our aircraft development team for an extended full-time term. You will work closely with the founding engineering team across aircraft design, prototyping, avionics, controls, simulation, manufacturing, and flight testing.

You will contribute to real aircraft development, participate in test campaigns, and be involved in engineering decisions from day one.

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in aerospace、 mechanical、 electrical、 robotics, computer engineering, computer science, or related technical field.
Hands-on, shop- or lab-based project experience preferred.
Willingness to own challenges and work in a fast-moving startup environment.
Strong problem-solving and communications skills in a technical setting.
Experience with CAD, prototyping, and flight-testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support design, build, and testing of autonomous aircraft prototypes.
Work on a focused engineering project aligned with company needs.
Assist airframe design, mechanical design, prototyping, avionics, controls, simulation, manufacturing, or flight-test support.
Build, assemble, modify, and repair aircraft hardware.
Create CAD models, test fixtures, documentation, analysis, or simulation tools.
Assist with flight-test preparation, data review, repairs, and design iteration.
Analyze test results and integrate lessons into aircraft improvements.
Document work to improve future builds and tests.
