AutoNation is hiring an Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Technician (entry-level) to support basic inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting on autonomous vehicles. This role provides hands-on learning in AV hardware, sensors, electrical systems, and diagnostic procedures while assisting experienced technicians.

The Junior Technician ensures vehicle readiness, supports fleet operations, and follows established safety and technical procedures, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualificações

• 0–2+ years of experience as an automotive, EV, mechanical, or electrical technician or recent graduate of a technical training program.
• Basic understanding of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to use hand tools and basic diagnostic equipment.
• Willingness to learn advanced AV systems, sensors, and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, work under vehicles, and operate in field environments.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs under the direction of senior technicians.
• Check fluid levels, tire condition, torque specs, safety systems, and general vehicle health.
• Document maintenance activities in fleet management systems.
• Assist with diagnostics, repairs, and basic component replacements.
• Learn sensor handling, calibration setups, and test preparation.
• Support field operations, test drives, and remote monitoring coordination.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in training programs.
