Royalty Staffing is hiring attentive drivers to join a client’s team as Vehicle Safety Drivers in Austin, TX. On-site role with 1-year contract, paying 25 USD per hour. Working schedules include Tue–Sat or Fri–Mon with varying hours, plus multiple AM/PM shifts.

The job involves operating autonomous vehicles, data collection, and safety reporting. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of driving experience, a clean driving record, and a valid US license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional driving experience.
• Valid US driver’s license for the last 3+ years.
• Clean driving record with no DUIs, drug or alcohol offenses in the last 5 years.
• Ability to operate autonomous vehicles safely and follow safety protocols.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate autonomous vehicles safely and lawfully to collect critical data on system performance and environmental factors.
• Interact professionally with riders, engineers, and company operations leaders to provide feedback and insights.
• Monitor vehicle performance and conduct in-field testing to ensure operational safety.
• Prepare vehicles daily for in-field operations, including safety checks and system readiness.
• Submit detailed reports to support system advancements and operational improvements.
• Be prepared for actions of other drivers and pedestrians and for unexpected events.
• Be alert and distraction free while in vehicles.
