Job summary

NVIDIA seeks an Autonomous Vehicle Test Expert to hands-on test self-driving tech. Job description

This is an Autonomous Vehicle Test Expert role with NVIDIA where you'll be hands-on testing self-driving vehicle technology. You'll operate NVIDIA's autonomous test vehicles, perform vehicle inspections and calibrations, run real-world and track-based testing scenarios, troubleshoot operating system issues, document results, and work closely with engineers to improve AV systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, has AV testing or is interested in Autonomous Vehicles, is coming from a technical background and understands vehicle technology and Linux-based systems, and wants to work directly with NVIDIA engineers helping validate the next generation of autonomous driving technology.

What we are looking for:

• Strong driving capabilities with a clean driving record
• Experience with autonomous vehicle technologies (ACC, Lane Keep Assist, Active Safety, Parking features).
• Comfortable working in Linux, Unix, or QNX environments.
• Basic scripting and troubleshooting skills.
• Detail-oriented communicator who can provide clear feedback to engineering teams.
• Flexible with travel, overtime, and occasional weekends.

What we need to see:

• Must be ok with travel- Position will require 40% travel
• Licensed for at least 3 years; does not have more than one violation point on driving record; was not the at -fault driver if involved in an accident that resulted in an injury or death; for 10 preceding this application you have not been convicted for driving or operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or any drug
• Strong knowledge of Linux command lines
• Must pass behind the wheel drive test
• You are detail oriented & able to identify and document all problems. Able to provide concise written and oral feedback to the Drive Ops and engineering teams
• Aware of computer hardware and interfaces
• Good troubleshooting skills to debug the issues and follow the instructions
• Preferred: Experience and knowledge of Autonomous Vehicles/self-driving car features like ACC, lane keep, active safety, and parking
• Highly developed and detailed communication and organizational skills
• Drive test track experience preferred
• Must be flexible with work schedules and travel
• Demonstrate values of self-motivation and ownership
