Job summary

May Mobility is transforming urban mobility with autonomous technology. The Autonomous Vehicle Operations Specialist will coordinate daily logistics, support AVs in operations, and ensure a safe, positive rider experience. The role reports to the Site Operations Manager and emphasizes customer satisfaction and teamwork.

Candidates should be prepared to manage processes, coach operators, and collaborate with engineering to resolve issues while travel to other sites for coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• First-time people management role preferred.
• Experience leading processes and driving continuous improvement in fast-paced environments.
• Previous experience at a technology-focused company.
• Experience using Google Suite applications (Gmail, Sheets, Docs).
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor autonomous vehicles in real time during operations.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed on each shift.
• Track site performance metrics and implement improvements.
• Coordinate with engineering for issue resolution.
• Train and coach vehicle operators through ride-alongs and reviews.
• Monitor vehicle health using company tools and log observations.
• Log feedback on autonomy performance for engineers.
• Maintain records of vehicle operations and performance.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and customer complaints.
• Interact with the public as a May Mobility ambassador.
• Test software changes with focus on safety and provide clear feedback.
• Travel to other sites for coverage as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
