Job summary

truckingpeople is seeking Vehicle Operators to support a real-world autonomous driving program focused on data collection and testing in Sunnyvale, CA. You will operate test vehicles on assigned routes, perform safety checks, and help gather critical data for next-generation mobility technology.

This is a full-time, shift-based role offering morning and afternoon/evening options. You must stay focused during long drives, follow established procedures, and record observations and system data

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean driving history.
• Ability to drive for long periods with focus and safety.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
• Comfortable using basic computer systems or command-line tools.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work assigned shifts consistently.

Responsibilities

• Drive test vehicles for extended periods (4–8 hours per shift) on assigned routes.
• Follow strict safety procedures and operational guidelines.
• Perform basic vehicle checks to ensure readiness before each shift.
• Record observations, issues, and anomalies during routes.
• Support simple technical tasks related to data collection systems.
• Coordinate with internal teams to provide feedback and insights.
• Assist with vehicle logistics, including movement and maintenance coordination.
