Job summary

AIM is hiring an entry-level Wire Harness Technician in Seattle to build, inspect, and sign off high-reliability harnesses per IPC/WHMA-A-620 and applicable drawings. You will read wiring diagrams, work instructions, and GD&T, and ensure first-pass quality with minimal rework.

You will cut, strip, crimp, solder, and terminate wires, install connectors, and perform basic electrical checks with multimeters. Candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced, low-volume/high-mix environment and

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–5 years of experience using mechanical and/or electronic hand tools.
  • Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Cut, strip, crimp, solder, and terminate wire and cable per engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Build wire harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies to IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standards.
  • Read and interpret cable harness drawings, layout drawings, mechanical drawings, schematics, and GD&T.
  • Install connectors, terminals, heat-shrink tubing, cable ties, labels, and protective sleeves.
  • Perform continuity, insulation resistance, and functional electrical checks using digital multimeters and custom test setups.
  • Inspect completed harnesses for correct pinout, mechanical durability, and workmanship; document non-conformances.
