Mach Industries in California is seeking a Fall 2026 Engineering Internship for future engineers to join our defense technology team. You will collaborate on autonomous systems, embedded firmware, and hardware design across multiple disciplines.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with guidance, control, and navigation software, real-time systems, and simulations, with exposure to manufacturing, testing and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD program in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, computer science, or a related engineering discipline.
• Intellectual curiosity and the drive to own problems end-to-end.
• Genuine interest in defense technology, national security, or the future of autonomous systems.

Responsibilities

• Work on autonomous systems — guidance, control, and navigation software for unmanned platforms.
• Develop embedded firmware and real-time software for flight and drive systems.
• Contribute to mechanical and structural design, manufacturing and test of hardware components.
• Assist propulsion, energetics, or systems integration for new defense platforms.
• Support tools, infrastructure and simulations that accelerate engineering velocity.
