Job summary

Montefiore Nyack Hospital is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to assist in surgeries and invasive procedures, round on admitted patients, and manage inpatient medical care under physician supervision.

The PA will write orders, notes and consults, counsel patients and families, and collaborate with surgeons to deliver high-quality care. Licensure in NYS and NCCPA certification are required; ACLS is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Graduate of a Physician Assistant Program.
• Two to three years’ experience as a Physician Assistant.
• NCCPA certification required; ACLS required; DEA registration if prescribing medications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgeries and other invasive procedures; round on admitted patients; write orders, notes and consults on surgical patients; counsel patients and families; manage all aspects of inpatient medical care.
