ATOMS is seeking an AI Research Intern to join the founding team and bridge high-level AI research with real-world actuation for autonomous transport platforms. You will contribute to core research in Perception, World Models, and Action models, translating breakthroughs into scalable deployments on physical systems.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, EECS, Robotics, AI, or related field.
• Coursework or research in vision-language-action (VLA) or embodied AI.
• Experience with RL, trajectory optimization, or decision-making systems.
• Experience with large-scale multimodal transformers in robotics or spatio-temporal data.

Responsabilités

• Integrate new AI research into internal model pipelines and validate on real-world data and simulations.
• Prototype and evaluate RL, trajectory planning, and distillation algorithms from literature.
• Train and fine-tune multimodal models mapping sensor inputs to vehicle actuation.
• Experiment with world-model architectures to improve simulation fidelity.
• Analyze edge cases and failure modes in new driving environments.
• Run simulation experiments with research and validation teams to identify bottlenecks and improvements.
