Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. seeks an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluation and treatment for patients with speech, language, cognitive-linguistic and swallowing disorders in inpatient and outpatient settings.

The SLP II role emphasizes independent practice across diagnostic groups, clinical instruction to graduate students, and collaboration with a medical team to optimize patient function.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Communication Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Licensure as Speech-Language Pathologist and CCC-SLP required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• 1–3 years related work experience required.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access).

Responsabilités

• Evaluate patients and determine appropriateness of referral and extent of the disorder.
• Interpret evaluation results and make recommendations for management and treatment.
• Develop goals and therapeutic program; provide therapy and use procedures/equipment as needed.
• Re-evaluate patient status and modify the plan as needed.
• Manage a defined caseload and perform administrative responsibilities (billing, time sheets, QA).
• Teach patients, families, residents, nurses and students; provide clinical instruction.
