Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (APP) to join the Medical Group. The APP will function autonomously within a physician-led team to deliver high-quality, cost-effective care and influence care decisions through clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice.

Required are a valid APP license in Kentucky, national certification, and ongoing maintenance of credentials (BCLS; ACLS as applicable).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and successful completion of accredited APP program.
• National certification from the appropriate national certifying agency for the particular APP.
• Must maintain national certification.
• Current valid and unrestricted license to practice as an APP in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
• BCLS required through the American Heart Association.
• ACLS as required for position.

Responsibilities

• The APP functions autonomously and collaborates with other health professionals to provide high quality, cost effective care to patients.
• The APP is responsible for providing direct patient care as part of the physician led team in accordance with State Law and approved Medical Staff privileges.

Education

Bachelor’s degree and successful completion of accredited APP program

Terminal degree in APP field preferred

National certification from the appropriate national certifying agency for the APP

Current valid and unrestricted license to practice as an APP in the Commonwealth of Kentucky

BCLS required through the American Heart Association

ACLS as required for position
