Job summary

Clemens Food Group is seeking an Autonomous Maintenance Technician for our on-site manufacturing facility. You will support production equipment reliability by proactively identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving mechanical and electrical issues to prevent recurring problems and minimize downtime.

You will collaborate with Maintenance Technicians and management, participate in equipment setup during start-ups and changeovers, follow safety standards, and maintain accurate maintenance records

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting industrial production equipment.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Identify root causes and propose long-term solutions to equipment issues.
• Strong understanding of production operations and equipment setup/changeover.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook.
• Ability to use SAP or similar CMMS for maintenance documentation.

Job Description: Autonomous Maintenance Technician

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor / Production Leadership

Position Summary

The Autonomous Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting production equipment reliability by proactively identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving mechanical and electrical issues within an assigned work area. This role focuses on preventing reoccurring equipment problems, supporting daily production activities, and collaborating with Maintenance Technicians and Management to improve equipment performance.

The position requires strong technical knowledge, independent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Propose solutions to complex and reoccurring production equipment issues to Maintenance Technicians and Management


• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues during the assigned shift


• Oversee production operations within the assigned work area


• Assist in repairing equipment, fixtures, conveyors, and supporting systems


• Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment in accordance with company SOPs and safety standards


• Perform preventative maintenance tasks safely and efficiently


• Work independently and collaboratively with team members to complete repairs and maintenance activities


• Lead and participate in equipment setup during production start-ups and product changeovers


• Ensure compliance with plant safety rules, including:


• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)


• Safe lifting practices


• Safe machine operation


• Utilize computer systems, including:


• Microsoft Outlook for communication


• SAP for work orders and preventive maintenance completion


• Maintain accurate documentation related to maintenance activities

Required Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting industrial production equipment
