Job summary

Tampa General Hospital in Mulberry, Florida is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Family Practice to join our outpatient team. The APP will deliver primary care, manage acute and chronic conditions, and collaborate with physicians to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a busy clinical setting.

The role emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention, and autonomous practice within an established scope.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in Florida.
• Adult Gerontology Primary Care or Family Nurse Practitioner required.
• National certification is required for PAs.
• Experience in primary care strongly preferred.
• Occupational health experience, DOT certification/experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, patient-centered, comprehensive primary care services in a collaborative outpatient setting.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
• Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and lifestyle changes.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to ensure high-quality care.
• Requests, interprets and evaluates diagnostic and laboratory tests and takes appropriate actions as medically indicated in accordance with departmental protocols.
• Identifies and reports any specific signs and symptoms, problems or potential problems requiring further assessment, communication and/or intervention to promote positive outcomes.
