Job summary

We are seeking an Engineer I or II at Isuzu Technical Center of America, Inc. in Plymouth, MI. The role focuses on developing autonomous driving software across Perception/Localization, Planning/Prediction, or Control, with hands-on testing and simulation validation.

As experience grows, you may lead modules, work with Isuzu US/Japan teams, and contribute to production-grade software; relocation or travel is not required unless specified. Strong C++, Python, and ML framework skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Fundamentals of autonomous driving, robotics, signal processing, and data science.
• Background in autonomous systems, ML (DL/RL/VLM/LLM), vehicle dynamics, or simulation.
• Understanding of ADAS/AD architecture, module interfaces, and production software.
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 and functional safety standards.
• Knowledge of end-to-end autonomous driving systems.

Responsibilities

• Develops software for Autonomous Driving stack (Perception/Localization, Planning/Prediction or Control).
• Collaborates with partner organizations and reviews documents/source code.
• Analyzes driving log data and prepares data pipelines for ML model training.
• Evaluates system performance via simulation/emulation.
• Supports vehicle testing and adds advanced technology research in autonomy.
