Job summary
Waymo LLC offers a hybrid onsite internship in Mountain View for graduate students in Computer Science. You will work on data-driven modeling, language models, and multimodal generation, under mentorship, with hands-on projects impacting Waymo Driver.
The role requires current enrollment in a Master's or PhD program, strong Python/C++ skills, and familiarity with Jax or PyTorch. Prior internship experience is preferred, and SQL knowledge is a plus.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Strong problem solving and programming skills in Python and/or C++.
- Good understanding of Jax/PyTorch.
- Experience in model evaluation and developing metrics.
- Experience developing models.
Responsibilities
- Mine and curate dataset samples from large corpus of driving data.
- Leverage large language models and world foundation models for reasoning, decision making and multi-modality generation.
- Optimize Multimodal generative models using RLFT. Explore Reward modeling.
- Design and implement Evaluation metrics and iterate on improvements.
