Job summary

JetBrains is seeking an engineer who loves ML, building standalone CLI tools, and exploring how far AI agents can go in autonomous coding.

You’ll own end-to-end features for Junie CLI and model integrations, experiment with ensembling and cost strategies, and test autonomous behaviors.

This role rewards ownership, curiosity, rapid learning, and long-term impact as you help shape the future of software development at JetBrains, with a strong focus on production-ready code and user experience.

Qualifications

• Proven track record shipping ML or full-stack software products.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompts, or agentic workflows.
• Ability to write production-grade code across the full development lifecycle.
• Experience building or fine-tuning ML models.

Responsibilities

• Develop and ship new features for Junie across CLI and model integrations.
• Experiment with model setups, ensembling and cost efficiency strategies.
• Build and test autonomous agent behaviors for long-term project maintenance.
• Own the full development cycle from initial research to production-ready code.
• Use Junie daily to continuously iterate on its quality and user experience.
