About Pick Your Part

Pick Your Part is a leader in used auto parts, hiring hardworking people who enjoy hands‑on work and helping others. The role involves maintaining the customer yard and facility to ensure it remains clean and safe.

Responsibilities

Remove fluids, lubricants, and components (e.g., converters) to prep vehicles for yard placement.
Work primarily outdoors to remove vehicle parts from salvage cars, including quarter panels, doors, lids, hoods, axles, and suspension pieces.
Set vehicles in the yard as assigned and record vehicle information accurately and promptly.
Operate forklift or loader to assist in moving vehicles from processing to the yard.
Clean out debris from vehicles before placement in the processing area.
Pull out batteries for testing and resale, bringing charged batteries to the retail area.
Collaborate with the Loader Operator to stage vehicles or pull vehicles in the yard correctly.
Walk the yard to place debris in the cars removed from the yard.
Dismantle tires.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Ensure all EPA and OSHA regulations are met.
Wear all required PPE.
Comply with established company policies and procedures.
Support continual improvement of the company’s quality improvement system.
Assume other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent desired.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

General knowledge and ability to perform relatively simple work.

Flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Constant standing required, except when operating machinery.

Capability to climb ladders, stairs, and tolerate heights over 15 feet.
