Bosley’s Tire Pros in Wichita, KS in seeking an automotive tire technician to perform repairs, changes, balancing, rotations and TPMS procedures, with growth opportunities.

You will inspect vehicles, replace tires, install TPMS, test balances, and review services with customers while adhering to safety and quality standards in a friendly, training-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 6 months tire technician experience.
• Knowledge of non-technical tire and auto service processes and basic automotive software.

Responsibilities

• Review repair orders and inspect vehicles to determine tire service needs.
• Perform tire replacement or minor maintenance services.
• Install valve stems and TPMS as required; mount tires and inflate.
• Test tire balances for proper weight distribution.
• Conduct short road tests to verify proper installation.
• Explain services to customers and ensure quality.
• Follow Quality Control, Safety, OSHA and EPA guidelines.

Job Summary

Performs all automotive tire repairs, changes, balancing, rotations and TPMS procedures.

Responsibilities

• Reviews repair order requests and makes visual inspection of vehicles to determine the extent of tire service requirements and materials needed
• Performs tire replacement or minor maintenance services
• Installs valve stem and tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) as required. Mounts tire on wheel assembly and inflates tires as required
• Test tire balances to ensure proper weight placement
• Performs short road test to ensure proper installation
• Reviews service with customer
• Complies with Company Quality Control Program, Company Safety Policy, OSHA and EPA regulations

Desired Qualifications

• High school graduate, comparable vocational training or 6 months of tire technician experience
• Must have knowledge of non-technical tire and auto service processes and procedures. Knowledge of systems software pertaining to automotive servicing

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with tire and lube requirements and specifications
• Knowledge of Mitchell Repair and All-Data
• Knowledge of tire requirements to include use of wheel balancers, tire specifications, Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems and some drivability diagnostic experience

Certifications:

• SEMA certification preferred
• Prefer TIA Automotive Tire Service (ATS) 200. Level 300 or 400 level a plus
