Job summary

Big O Tires - Batavia is seeking an Automotive Tire Technician to service and perform tire-related services, lubrication, flush services, and battery testing/replacement in a retail automotive setting. You will work with a customer‑facing team focused on quality workmanship and growth in a fast‑growing location.

You will mount/dismount, balance, rotate tires, perform oil changes, test batteries, manage inventory, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to drive a vehicle.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Willingness to learn new concepts and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to operate automatic and manual transmissions.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Availability to work holidays, Saturdays, and after hours as needed.
• Accountability and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, balance, and rotate tires.
• Perform tire repairs when appropriate.
• Explain service options and repairs to customers.
• Oil changes and other flushes/maintenance.
• Test and install batteries.
• Inventory stocking.

As an Big O Tires Automotive Tire Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and performing tire related services, lubrication and flush services, and battery testing and replacement. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Mount, dismount, balance, and rotate tires
• Perform tire repairs when appropriate
• Provide exceptional customer service, working directly with customers to explain service options and repair needs
• Performing oil changes and other types of flushes and maintenance
• Test and install batteries
• Inventory stocking
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Participate in training & follow safety procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid driver's license
• Must be at least 18+ years old
• Accountability matters
• Availability to work holidays, Saturdays, and after regular business hours as needed
• Reliable transportation to work
• Willingness to learn new concepts, use required equipment, and prepare and review service documentation
• Capability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Ability to move and lift up to 75 pounds

Work Environment

You will work in a retail operation within the automotive services industry. Work with the latest equipment, tools, and lifts. Work hours will vary but generally include working a combination of weekdays and Saturdays including overtime as needed.
