Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate or eligible for alternative certification or local teaching permit.
• Assignment for Automotive Technology allowed with work approval as specified by Arlington ISD.

Responsibilities

• Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and times designated.
• Develop and implement curriculum plans with written evidence of preparation.
• Prepare lessons and adapt curriculum for individual student differences.
• Establish clear objectives for all lessons and communicate them to students.
• Present subject matter according to TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Employ varied instructional techniques and media to meet student needs.
• Provide opportunities for active student participation and achievement.
• Evaluate and provide feedback on student progress during instruction.
• Provide extended hours for students pursuing industry certification exams.
