We are seeking Automotive Technicians for our operations in Novi, MI
TheAutomotive Technicianis responsible for inspection, repair and diagnostic services. You will work on computer systems diagnosis, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical/electrical component replacement. You must have the ability to explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include other associates and customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verify BOM with parts received
- Identify any parts that could be incorrect or damaged
- Tear down (disassemble) base vehicles.
- Retrofit vehicles for the P42S consisting of the following changing parts:
Interior: Console, IP Main Harness, complete interior
Chassis: ABS/VDC actuator, tires
Exterior: Fascia, FR Bumper, Lamps
Qualification/Requirement:
- Current driver's license; clean driving record.
- Pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Work assigned schedule which may includemultiple shifts, weekends andholidays
- Arrive to work on time, work overtime when required.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferably Have experience with OEM.
- Computer skills required.
- Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Working knowledge of shop equipment such as diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.).
Experience/Education:
- ASE certified, or Associate degree in Automotive,or equivalent.
- 1+ years of automotive technician experience.
Environmental Requirements:
- Will beexposed toextreme temperature changes and noise.
- Some duties performed outside in all weather conditions.
- This is a physically demanding position.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, move products, equipment andsupplies up toseventy-five(75)pounds.
- Must be able to work at heights up to 20-25 feet.
- Regularly stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours.
