Job summary

AutoNation is seeking an Automotive Technician in Tempe to perform vehicle repair and maintenance to dealer and factory standards, helping build trust and confidence with customers.

You will diagnose issues, communicate with the Parts and Service teams, conduct multi-point inspections, and stay current with factory bulletins and OEM training to ensure safety and reliability. Career growth opportunities abound within our nationwide organization.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of automotive technician experience (Multi-Brand Used Car/Reconditioning).
• Automotive technical training as required by the store.
• Valid in-state driver's license and clean driving record.
• Attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance per repair order with efficiency and accuracy per dealership and factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs as authorized by customer.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and provide recommendations for safety and reliability.
• Document work on the repair order and keep an inventory of special tools as needed.
• Stay current with factory bulletins and participate in training classes.
