Job summary

CarMax in West Point, VA is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet safety and reliability standards. You’ll work with a skilled team in a modern facility and gain hands-on experience across domestic and foreign vehicles.

The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and teamwork. ASE certifications are preferred where required, and we offer training, competitive pay, and a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for external hires.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
