Job summary

CarMax Hillside is hiring an Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to CarMax standards in a clean, climate-controlled shop. You will work on engines, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical systems, advancing from basic maintenance to complex repairs as your skills grow.

Qualifications

Basic to intermediate experience in automotive repair including engines, brakes, suspension or HVAC systems.
Knowledge of workplace safety protocols and compliance standards.
Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Clear verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to meet CarMax standards.
Perform automotive services from basic maintenance to complex mechanical and electrical repairs.
Complete multi-point inspections and document findings and completed work.
Repair or replace vehicle components such as trim, seals, and panels to support reconditioning.
Assist with alignment, suspension, and performance diagnostics as skills grow.
Uphold CarMax values and collaborate with teammates to meet production goals.
Follow EH&S requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
