Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet safety and reliability standards. You will work in a climate-controlled facility, collaborating with a skilled team to tackle challenges across domestic and foreign vehicles, while upholding CarMax’s values and EH&S guidelines.

The role requires experience in engine, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems, plus a valid driver's license and ASE certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license.
• Maintaining ASE Certifications as required by state/local law (A4, A5, A7, A6, A1, A3, A8, A2).
