Job summary

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Automotive Technician to perform basic and advanced car maintenance, inspect vehicles, and troubleshoot issues to ensure customer satisfaction.

The position requires at least 2 years of auto service/engine diagnostics experience, ASE Certification preferred, and the candidate must have technician tools and a valid driver’s license. Weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years’ auto service / engine diagnostic experience in a professional capacity.
• ASE Certification preferred, but not required
• Must have Technician Tools
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to operate and drive vehicles; pass pre-employment background screen

Responsibilities

• Apply in-depth automotive repair knowledge.
• Provide service of the highest quality to customers.
• Perform skilled mechanical work while diagnosing problems.
• Inspect, replace and/or repair defective parts and perform preventative maintenance.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques to stay current with automotive technology.
• Demonstrate company values in interactions with customers, co-workers, and suppliers.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
