Job summary

Chapel Hill Tire is seeking a motivated General Service Automotive Technician. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing vehicles, performing maintenance, and delivering high customer satisfaction. Paid training and opportunities for growth are provided as part of a values-driven team.

You will test drive vehicles, inspect systems, and recommend durable repairs with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have basic automotive repair training or related experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; ASE and other certifications are a big plus.
• Candidate should be capable of learning and applying new skills.

Responsibilities

• Test drives every vehicle before service or repair to verify customer concerns.
• Inspects engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose and record findings.
• Recommend thorough repairs to ensure durability (3 year/36,000 mile warranty).
• Perform basic maintenance such as tune-ups and flushes.
• Perform oil changes, tire services, and state inspections when needed.
• Conduct repairs per company procedures and replace parts with high quality components.
• Verify repairs with a follow-up test drive along the established route.
