Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Automotive Worker to perform a variety of minor repairs and maintenance on vehicles in a team environment. Responsibilities include battery checks, tire work, cleaning, lubrication, and adherence to Technical Manuals. Candidates should have 1+ year in vehicle maintenance and own or be able to obtain required licenses.

May involve shift work, outdoor conditions, and occasional overtime to meet deadlines. Competitive benefits apply and safety is emphasized throughout the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years’ experience in vehicle maintenance or related schooling/experience.
• Must obtain site forklift and other licenses/certifications.
• Must have a valid and current state driver’s license.
• Must understand and use Technical Manuals.
• Must complete paperwork for vehicle maintenance/repairs.
• Ability to use hand tools and hydraulic equipment.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Preferred: ASE and/or Diesel Mechanic Certifications.
• Preferred: experience with military tactical vehicles, lawn care equipment, trailers.
• May require shift work including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles per Technical Manual.
• Place and maintain decals, check/replace batteries, rotate/repair tires, clean interiors/exteriors.
• Repair engine/transmission/differential grease and oils, spark plugs, filters.
• Assist on major overhauls, disassemble/clean parts, repair generators/water pumps, replace thermostats and wiring.
