Job summary

CarMax is hiring a Mechanical Associate in Virginia to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles, from engines to HVAC systems. You’ll work with a skilled team in a climate-controlled facility designed for efficiency and growth.

The role requires hands-on repair experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. ASE certifications and a valid driver’s license are preferred as you contribute to high-quality, customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering & suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail; valid driver’s license.
• Where required by State/Local law, maintain ASE Certifications in listed areas.

Responsibilities
