Flexcar is seeking an Automotive Technician / Mechanic in Larchmont, NY. The role involves performing basic mechanical and cosmetic repairs on fleet vehicles, with opportunities to grow skills across 209 vehicle models.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive repair experience preferred.
• ASE certifications heavily preferred.
• Strong technical and mechanical skills required.
• Team player with ability to work on complex tasks.
• Must have valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• At least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Identify, order, and maintain supplies and parts to service vehicles.
• Use hand tools, chemicals, and shop equipment correctly.
• Document all work and update repair orders.
• Communicate with service manager when additional work is needed.
• Conduct road tests to verify work when necessary.
• Perform all levels of diagnosis and repair on fleet vehicles.
• Perform preventive/routine maintenance services.

Under minimal supervision, performsall processes necessary to complete basic mechanical and cosmetic repairs on fleet vehicles followingFlexcarpolicies and procedures.The "B" Level Service Technician has the responsibility of understanding and completing routine repairs necessary for the repair of customer vehicles.This individual will perform general repairs and diagnoses with minimalassistance. These repairs include but are not limited to light engine work, brake systems, drive shafts, electrical systems, interior trim and entertainment components, exterior body panels and components, HVAC systems, steering & suspension systems, and any otherrepair asassigned by site management.

WhatYou’llDo:

• Identify, order, and maintain correct supplies and partsin order toproperly service vehicles.

• Understand how toproperly usehand tools, chemicals, and all shop equipment.

• Makeaccurateuse of the return inspection information on each vehicle

• Document all work performed and recommended on assigned repair order

• Communicate with service manager or site management whenadditionalwork is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time

• Conduct road test todeterminework needed and to confirm work was successfully completed when necessary and practical

• Perform all levels of diagnosis and repair on vehicles

• Perform all levels of preventive/routine maintenance services

• Utilize product and technical training as assigned by site management

• Participate in sponsored training programs and schools to continuously expand your knowledge ofnew technology

• Complete the work,notationsandtime-keepingnecessarytothe successful completion of all repair orders.

• Report to management any situation or condition that would jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of the site, its customers, or employees

• Take care to ensure that all vehicles are returned to the lot as clean as they were prior to being serviced

• Understand and complete required training for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.

• Comply withall federal,stateand local laws, as well as companypolicy,regardingsafeguarding all vehicles,propertyand information

What Drives Success for this Role:

• Must be a team player andhave the ability towork repetitively on complex tasks

• Provide support to other associates and managers as needed.

• Perform all work within standardized cycle times

• Flexibility toworkdays, evenings,weekendsand/or holidays.

• Willingness to work invaryingweather conditions.

• Ability to carry tools and supplies up to 75lbs.

• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record (per company standards)

• 2+ years of automotive repair experience is preferred.

• At least 18 years old
