Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking an Automotive Technician/Mechanic in Milpitas, CA to service light to medium duty fleet vehicles. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and document repairs to keep fleets running reliably.

Compensation ranges $30.00–$40.00/hour with weekly pay. Benefits start within 30 days, plus 401(k) matching, PTO, boot allowance, safety gear reimbursements, and ongoing training via Amerit University.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Must own personal tools and toolbox for the role.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team.
• Must meet physical demands of the job.
• Willingness to pass pre-employment screenings, including DOT if required.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years’ of hands‑on experience performing automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position (detailed below)
• Must be eligible to pass standard pre‑employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)

Working Conditions

This role involves working in a mobile, outside and/or shop environment with exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical materials such as oils and greases. Technicians must be able to perform essential job functions that include frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods, as well as lifting heavy objects and accessing tight or confined spaces. This position requires regular use of hands to grasp, reach, handle, and operate tools and equipment. Technicians may be required to work at heights using ladders or elevated platforms and must be able to safely perform duties in various weather conditions. Due to the active work environment and movement of large vehicles, the ability to see and hear sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace is required.
