Job summary

National Health Transport, Inc. is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair our fleet of light and medium duty vehicles, including Ford Transits and Ram ProMasters. This is an inhouse fleet position with steady, predictable work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an automotive technician working on light and medium duty vehicles.
• Hands-on experience with Ford Transit and Ram ProMaster platforms strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of engine controls, emission systems, ignition systems, A/C, and body electrical systems.
• Proficient with reading wiring diagrams and service information.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; ASE and EPA 609 preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.

About the Role
National Health Transport is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to diagnose, maintain, and
repair our fleet of light and medium duty vehicles, including Ford Transits and Ram ProMasters. This is an inhouse
fleet position with steady, predictable work. There are no flat-rate pressures, just quality repairs done
right.
Responsibilities
• Diagnose and repair all vehicle systems on light and medium duty vans and trucks
• Perform engine control, emission system, and ignition system diagnosis and repair
• Diagnose and repair air conditioning systems
• Troubleshoot and repair body electrical systems, wiring, and modules
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections
• Use scan tools and computer diagnostic software to read codes, review data, and program as needed
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs
• Document work performed, parts used, and findings accurately
• Keep a safe, clean, and organized work area
Qualifications
• Proven experience as an automotive technician working on light and medium duty vehicles
• Hands-on experience with Ford Transit and Ram ProMaster platforms strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of all vehicle systems, especially:
◦ Engine controls
◦ Emission systems
◦ Ignition systems
◦ Air conditioning
◦ Body electrical diagnosis and repair
• Proficient with standard hand tools, computer diagnostic tools, and digital multimeters
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and service information
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (required to road test vehicles)
• ASE certifications preferred; EPA Section 609 (A/C) certification preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training a plus

• Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 75 lbs with assistance or lifting
equipment
• Stand and walk for extended periods during a full shift
• Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach overhead, including working under vehicles on
lifts
• Climb into and out of vehicles and work in confined spaces such as engine compartments and under
dashboards
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle tools, small parts, and fasteners
• Visual ability to read gauges, meters, diagnostic screens, and wiring diagrams, and to distinguish wire
colors
• Hearing ability sufficient to detect vehicle noises and communicate in a shop environment
• Work in a shop setting with exposure to noise, heat and humidity, vehicle exhaust, fumes, lubricants,
solvents, and refrigerants
• Required to wear personal protective equipment (safety glasses, gloves, safety footwear) and follow all
shop safety procedures
