Cox Automotive’s Manheim location is hiring an Auto Maintenance Tech I to perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles. The role offers a sign-on bonus and competitive pay with benefits.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year of related work experience, the ability to service different vehicle types, and a valid driver's license. ASE training and ongoing career growth are available through Cox Auto University.

Responsibilities

• Gain familiarity with auto maintenance concepts and practices
• Perform auto maintenance tasks including oil and filter changes, fuel filter changes, transmission flush, spark plugs, and vehicle inspections
• Perform battery testing, maintenance, and replacement; test and repair starting and charging electrical systems
• Diagnose and repair brake systems, steering and suspension systems
• Perform maintenance on equipment and evacuations/recharges on AC systems
• Utilize approved vendors to obtain parts
• May upfit new vehicles with necessary equipment
• Comply with procedures regarding recyclables, fluids, tires, and disposal trash

What You’ll Do

• Perform various repairs including tires, safety inspections and interior/exterior components
• Diagnose and repair brake systems, steering and suspension systems
• Perform an evacuation and recharge on the AC system
• Perform maintenance on equipment
• Utilize approved vendors to obtain parts
• May upfit new vehicles with necessary equipment
• Comply with applicable procedures and regulations regarding recyclables, fluids, tires, and disposable trash

Who You Are

You're a quick learner—especially when it comes to cars and how they work. You're a team player who always arrives at the shop ready to provide excellent work.

Required

• 1 or more years of related work experience
• The ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required

Preferred

• High school diploma or GED
• Current ASE Certifications: G1, A4, A5 status when required by leadership

USD 20.10 - 30.10 per hour

Compensation

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $20.10 - $30.10/hour. The hourly rate may vary based on location and the selected candidate's experience. In addition to the hourly range identified herein, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $0.01.
