Tallman’s Tire and Auto Repair in Utica, NY is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles, using diagnostic tools and in-depth knowledge of vehicle systems. You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and communicate repair options to customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• NYS DMV Inspectors License is required.
• An associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred.
• ASE certification or SAE certification is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communications skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic tools to evaluate vehicle malfunctions.
• Perform routine maintenance such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake work.
• Inspect engine, transmission, brakes, and other systems in detail.
• Communicate repair options clearly to customers.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and promote repeat business.
