Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking an Automotive Technician in Lawrence, NY to inspect, diagnose, and repair brakes, suspension, engine performance, and A/C using the latest diagnostic tools.

This full-time role offers flat-rate pay with a 75% hour guarantee, a pay range of $26 to $30 per hour based on experience, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, tuition reimbursement, life insurance, and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• Three years of automotive repair experience or three years as a military vehicle maintenance specialist.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Preferred: ASE A4 (Steering & Suspension) and A5 (Brakes) Certifications, state inspection license, or MAC certification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair brakes, suspension, engine performance, A/C, and coolant systems.
• Troubleshoot problems using the latest diagnostic technology.
• Mentor teammates and continually learn new techniques as automotive technology evolves.
• Maintain high standards of safety, service, and housekeeping with protective equipment.
• Perform manual tasks such as lifting tires/wheels and standing, bending, and squatting for extended periods.
