Job summary

Arlington Heights Ford is currently seeking an automotive service technician to join a fast-paced, award-winning team in Arlington Heights, IL. You will perform maintenance and repairs, diagnose issues, and clearly communicate with service advisors and customers about repair needs.

We offer comprehensive benefits, ongoing training, and a weekly pay structure with a base pay range of $62,400–$100,000 per year. A clean driver’s license and safety-conscious mindset are required.

Qualifications

• Ford Certification preferred.
• Strong automotive background.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude, self-motivated, and eager to learn new skills.
• Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
• Must have a clean and valid driver's license. This is a safety-sensitive position.
• Pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform automotive maintenance and repairs on various vehicle systems.
• Utilize tools and automotive systems to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues.
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Communicate with Service Advisors and customers about vehicle issues and repair needs.
• Collaborate with management to ensure workflow is consistent.
• Follow manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices to ensure accuracy on repairs.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Stay up to date with latest automotive technology, repair techniques and industry trends.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while restocking supplies as needed.
