Job summary

Mavis Tire is hiring an Automotive Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles at our center in the Hamden, CT area. This full-time position offers competitive weekly pay and incentive compensation, with opportunities for career growth within the largest automotive service network.

As part of Team Mavis, you'll perform brake, suspension, tire, and routine maintenance tasks, use your own tools, and uphold safety and customer service standards across all work.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• At least 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience and/or training.
• Must have personal tools to perform repairs.
• Preferred ASE certifications: Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), Brakes (A5).
• State inspection license(s) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform undercar repairs including brakes, suspension, and steering.
• Diagnose vehicle maintenance and repair needs.
• Perform oil and filter changes and check fluids.
• Replace worn or damaged parts.
• Complete state inspections where applicable.
• Mount, rotate, and balance tires.
• Maintain Mavis quality, safety, and customer service standards.
