Job summary

Avis Budget Group is immediately hiring an Automotive Mechanic (B Tech) to perform essential repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles. You will handle oil changes, tire and brake work, suspension, and other routine services with minimal supervision.

We seek candidates with at least 2 years of auto repair experience or relevant coursework, ASE certification, and a complete set of tools. On-site role with competitive pay and benefits; shift premium may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional auto repair experience or automotive coursework with certifications.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Must have complete set of tools required for automotive repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential mechanical repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles.
• Oil and fluid services, tire repairs, brake work, suspension repairs and other routine maintenance.
• Support senior technicians with more complex diagnostic and repair work as skills grow.

What You’ll Do

As an Automotive Mechanic (B Tech), you will perform essential mechanical repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles with minimal technical supervision. Your responsibilities may include oil and fluid services, tire repairs, brake work, suspension repairs, and other routine maintenance or warranty-related repairs based on your experience level.

You may also support senior technicians with more complex diagnostic and repair work as you continue to build your skills. Bymaintainingvehicle reliability and safety, your work helps reduce downtime and ensures vehicles are ready when customers need them—directly contributing to a positive customer experience.

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Driver’s License andgood drivingrecord
• Minimum of 2 years of professional auto repair experience or automotive coursework with certifications
• At least 1 ASE certification, with the ability to obtain 2additionalASE certifications within the first year
• Working knowledge of ASE certification areas including, but not limited to: Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, Engine Performance, and Light Vehicle/Diesel
• Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels
• Must have a complete set of toolsrequiredfor automotive repair and maintenance
• Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry
• Must be able tolift upto 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk,sitand kneelfrequently, enter,exitand drive vehicles
• Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely
• PreviousOriginal Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) experience is preferred and considered a strong advantage
