Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership – familiarizing yourself with the service department & procedures
• Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairsExecuting repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications

Qualifications

• At least 2+ year of technician experience required
• Technical degree preferred but not required
• ASE certifications preferred but not required
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to identify the problem quickly
• Effective analytical and communication skills
• Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
