Job summary

Air Combat Command at Beale AFB, CA seeks an automotive technician to troubleshoot, repair, test and overhaul major motor vehicle components. You will use oscilloscopes, gauges, and other equipment to diagnose issues and ensure proper operation.

The role is Regular Full-Time with benefits, offering 35–40 hours weekly. Eligible for health and retirement benefits with the Air Force NAF program and annual leave. Prior federal experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair automotive engines and major components.
• Experience using automotive test equipment (oscilloscopes, compression gauges, diagnostic tools).
• No substitution of education is allowed for this position.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, test, and overhaul major vehicle components.
• Provide instruction to patrons and perform repairs per standards.
• Use test equipment to diagnose malfunctions and determine required repairs.
• Disassemble and rebuild complex components such as engines, transmissions, and hydraulics.
