Job summary

Telle Tire & Auto Service Inc in Manhattan, KS is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose, inspect, maintain, and repair a wide range of vehicles including cars, trucks, and SUVs. You will use digital inspection tools, communicate findings, and collaborate with service advisors to ensure first-time right repairs and customer safety.

Qualified candidates have a valid driver’s license, state vehicle inspector license (required), and ASE/MACA certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as an automotive technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive digital vehicle inspections.
• Diagnose and repair brake and steering systems.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems and engine cooling components.
• Diagnose engine performance and drivability issues.
• Complete routine maintenance services (coolant, brake, power steering, transmission flushes).
• Conduct state inspections (emissions and safety).
• Perform wheel alignments, tire rotations, and tire pressure checks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Document work performed accurately using shop management software.
• Collaborate with service advisors and management to ensure workflow and communication.
