Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet safety and quality standards. You’ll work in a modern, climate-controlled facility with opportunities for hands-on growth across domestic and foreign vehicles.

The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and strong teamwork. A valid driver’s license and ASE certifications are expected where required by state/local law, with competitive hourly pay and a new hire bonus available.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Maintain ASE certifications as required by state/local law.
