Job summary

Gipson’s Tire & Auto in Mobile, AL is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join our team. You’ll perform tire installation, maintenance, alignments, brakes, engine diagnostics, and routine services in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive maintenance or repair experience; must have own tools.
• Solid understanding of automotive systems; PC-based diagnostic tools and/or digital inspections are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license strongly preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely vehicle inspection, maintenance and repairs.
• Test drives vehicles before and after repairs to ensure safety.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, fluid flushes and belt/hose replacements.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and document findings.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of shop equipment.
• Perform additional duties to support shop operations and team success.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and keep the area clean and professional.
• Collaborate with Store Manager, Service Advisors and team to deliver customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrate dependability and a positive attitude in a busy environment.
