Job summary

Custer Auto Repair in Wilmington, NC is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance across various makes and models.

This full-time, on-site role offers opportunities for career growth. You will diagnose, repair, and service vehicles, with emphasis on electrical systems, engine and transmission work, and safe, quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as automotive technician or mechanic.
• Must have own tools, toolbox and a valid driver’s license.
• 1-week working interview is required.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately.
• ASE certification or manufacturer-specific certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicle systems including suspension parts, water pumps, timing belts, spark plugs, charging system parts, starters and other maintenance parts.
• Includes oil changes, brakes, alignments and tires.
• Must be skilled at diagnostics and engine/transmission work.
• Use hand tools and power tools to repair safely and efficiently.
• Conduct wheel alignments and vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards.
