Job summary

Southwest Auto Sales is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our dealership service center. You will diagnose and repair vehicles, using dealership software and knowledge of vehicle systems. A relentless problem-solver mindset is valued and essential to deliver customer satisfaction.

The role requires completing diagnostic tasks, performing routine maintenance, and contributing to service center procedures. Strong communication with customers and team members is important to success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred.
• ASE certification or SAE certification is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communications skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic tools to evaluate vehicle malfunction codes.
• Assist with establishing service center procedures for tracking repair status and documenting technical work.
• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements.
• Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of engine, transmission, and brakes.
