Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking an Automotive Technician to join multiple U.S. auto service centers. This full-time, flat-rate role offers a 75% hour guarantee and opportunities for growth.

You will diagnose and repair brakes, suspension, engines, and cooling systems using modern diagnostic tools. You'll mentor teammates, maintain safety standards, and handle physical tasks as part of daily duties in a dynamic service environment.

Qualifications

• Three years of automotive repair experience or equivalent military vehicle maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• ASE A4 and A5 certifications preferred; state inspection license or MAC certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair automotive systems including brakes, suspension, alignment, engine performance, A/C, and cooling systems.
• Troubleshoot problems with diagnostic equipment and modern technology.
• Mentor teammates and continue learning new techniques as automotive technology evolves.
• Maintain high safety, service, and housekeeping standards and use protective equipment.
• Perform manual tasks such as lifting tires and standing, bending, and squatting for extended periods.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of three years' automotive repair experience—OR three years as a military vehicle maintenance specialist—demonstrating advanced diagnostic and problem-solving skills, including identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving complex mechanical and electrical faults.


• Valid driver's license and ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays


• Preferred: ASE A4 (Steering & Suspension) and A5 (Brakes) Certifications, state inspection license, or MAC certification
