Job summary

The Auto Club Group is seeking an Automotive Technician C to perform routine maintenance, basic repairs, and diagnostic work on a variety of vehicles, including diesel and hybrid models. You will work with experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience, develop skills, and contribute to safe, reliable service and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, and/or technical school graduate/certification.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum of 6 months’ relevant experience in automotive repair or completion of a formal automotive training program.
• Knowledge of automotive/truck systems, tools, and resources for basic repairs and maintenance.
• ASE Certifications (or equivalent) preferred.
• State inspection certificate where applicable.
• AC 609 Certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic automotive repairs, adjustments and maintenance as outlined on the repair order.
• Drive vehicles into service bay, prepare them for and complete digital vehicle inspections.
• Test drive vehicles and prepare for delivery to customer after repairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of shop and work areas; perform other duties as necessary.

Job Type: Full time Exempt/Non Exempt: Hourly

Job Description: Position Schedule / Shift: Service center hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., and Saturday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Schedule and shift assignments will depend on the position.

Position Summary: As an Automotive Technician C, you’ll perform routine maintenance, basic repairs, and diagnostic work on a variety of vehicles, including diesel and hybrid models. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship. Working alongside experienced technicians, you’ll gain hands‑on experience, develop your technical skills, and contribute to delivering safe, reliable vehicles and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities

• In an efficient and productive manner, performs basic automotive repairs, adjustments and maintenance procedures as outlined on repair order for which Technician is trained.
• Drives vehicles into service bay, prepares them for and completes digital vehicle inspection.
• Test drives vehicles and prepares vehicle for delivery to customer after necessary repairs and maintenance.
• Maintains cleanliness of shop and work areas, performs other duties as necessary.

Qualifications

• Required: High School diploma, GED, and/or technical school graduate/certification
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Minimum of 6 months’ relevant experience in automotive repair or completion of a formal automotive training program.
• Knowledge of automotive and/or truck systems, tools, and technical resources and training to independently perform a variety of usually basic repairs and maintenance of automobile and truck vehicles.
• Understand and consistently demonstrate the proper use of equipment and tools used in such repair and maintenance, as well as the need to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Ability to consistently provide exceptional customer service and improve customer service score
• Preferred ASE Certifications (or their equivalent).
• A4‑Suspension & Steering, A5‑Brakes
• G1‑Auto Maintenance & Light Repair preferred
• State inspection certificate,where applicable
• AC 609 Certification
• Must have their own tools appropriate for their skill level for use in the Center.

Work Environment

May experience loud noises and odors intermittently in the shop environment.

Compensation & Benefits Overview

ACG complies with all applicable state and local laws regarding required benefits (including PTO, paid sick leave, etc.). Compensation TechnicianCswill earn a competitivehourly rateof$17.00 - $25.00.

Time Off & Leave

Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrual-based, increases with tenure, eligible at 90 days of employment.

• Full-time new employees will receive up to 12 PTO days annually; accrual based on start date and may include additional PTO based on role and/or state & local requirements.
• Part-time employee PTO hours are calculated based upon the standard weekly hours the employee is scheduled to work and will accrue at a minimum of 3 hours per month.

Paid Holidays

• Full-time employees are eligible for 10 company-paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day, 2 floating holidays and 1 volunteer day. Holidays vary by business unit schedules.
• Part-time employees are eligible for 8 company-paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day and 2 floating holidays. Holidays vary by business unit schedules.
